Junior Squash Match Play

Where Practice
Becomes Performance

Every successful tournament player reaches a point where practice alone isn't enough. At Play Squash Academy, our Junior Match Play Program provides the competitive experience young athletes need to transform their training into tournament success.

Professionally supervised by our experienced coaching staff, Match Play teaches players how to compete with confidence, perform under pressure, make smart tactical decisions, and develop the mental toughness required for competitive squash.

Whether your child is preparing for their first Bronze tournament or competing in Silver, Gold, JCT, or National Championships, Match Play is an essential part of long-term player development.

Match Play
develops competitors

Each session provides meaningful competition in a structured, positive environment where players receive multiple quality matches against opponents of similar ability. Our coaches organize competitive pairings, observe every match, provide tactical feedback, and help players improve their shot selection, movement, match strategy, and decision-making.

Players are grouped by level to ensure every match is challenging, competitive, and productive:

Bronze

Silver

Gold

JCT / High Performance

In addition to improving on-court performance, Match Play helps players develop confidence, discipline, resilience, accountability, leadership, and sportsmanship—qualities that benefit them both on and off the court.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely. Our “Beginner” level match play is the perfect first step. It’s a supportive environment focused on learning the rules, scoring, and etiquette of competitive play.

If your child is currently in our lesson or clinic programs, their coach can provide a recommendation. If you are new to the academy, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to help assess the right starting point.

Our weekly match plays are internal competitive events designed for training and development. They are the ideal preparation for players looking to enter official, US Squash sanctioned junior squash tournaments.

Players are required to have their own racquet, non-marking court shoes, and protective eyewear, which is mandatory for all junior play.
